THE FUTURE OF STEALTH COMBAT

A little history...

Released and published by EA on March 22nd 2011. Crysis 2 was the next crowning jewel from Crytek. Just like the first entry there was a Multiplayer base that was hosted by GameSpy until 2013 when the company was defunct on February 21, 2013. For the past decade the Crysis 2 Multiplayer fanbase has been dead in the water without anything but a broken Leaked Beta dev build with the LAN function still intact. Using VPN tools such as Hamachi, Tunngle, and Radmin we could have small matches. This build was heavily bugged and crashed often. With the source code locked everything seemed lost for its' multiplayer while many other GameSpy games were being revived through open source code. However the Official 1.9 Crysis 2 was no where on the compatibility list. Now, in 2023 on October 10th a homebrewed mod based on OpenSpy project files made a connection to a dedicated Multiplayer server possible. For the first time a chance to join matches was possible, and it seems this works on all versions like Steam, Dodi Repack, and even EA.
